When Allyson Martinek was relieved of her on-air duties in July 2015 from WDVD after 20 years of the very successful Blaine and Allyson Show, fans took to social media to voice their displeasure.
Since then, Allyson has taken her time off to write a book which has just hit store shelves.
She joined us on 7 Action News at 8AM on TV20 Detroit to talk about her upcoming meet and greet.
Allyson will be sharing her experiences on April 8 and reading passages from her new book "Living On Air: A Radiogirl's Quest For Fairness and Happily Ever After."
The event will take place at Will Leather Goods in Midtown from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
It's free to attend.
