(WXYZ) — Temperatures expected to be cooler compared to the beginning of the month, the National Weather Service said.

In a post on NWS Detroit/Pontiac's Facebook page, the weather service issued a friendly reminder that while there are still four weeks left of summer, the warmest days are "behind us."

In the beginning of July, the metro Detroit area saw a nine-day stretch of 90-degree temperatures.
