(WXYZ) — A local nonprofit that's helped some of Detroit’s most disadvantaged neighborhoods for decades is in need of a Christmas miracle.
Jimmy's Kids has lost a major portion of its inventory in storage.
Construction in three rented storage lockers spread contamination silica sand all over their toys, books, clothing and puzzles.
They're hoping to restock those gifts between now and Christmas and are asking for donations.
If you'd like to help, the group has set up a GoFundMe.
They're hoping to raise $35,000.
