Keith Elementary in West Bloomfield will be closed -- while staff and families honor a kindergartner who tragically died.
According to a GoFundMe page -- Ashton Arabo was just 6 years old when he died from complications of the flu.
His mother -- Melody Arabo works as a teacher at Keith -- and was honored as Michigan's Teacher of the Year last year.
Ashton's funeral is today.
The Arabo family is now collecting donations so they can carry out miracles in Ashton's name.
