MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (WXYZ) — A kitten that is believed to be only about 10 weeks old is safe after being rescued from a drain pipe at a business in downtown Mount Clemens.
The cat was believed to be between 15 and 20 feet down the pipe. It is believed to have been in the pipe for about 4 days.
Volunteers with ReJoyceful Animal Rescue began rescue attempts on Monday, but were only able to grab the cat with a snare Tuesday afternoon.
The kitten, which has been named Piper, was taken to a veterinarian for medical care. It was determined she was dehydrated, but otherwise okay.
Rescue officials say they have already found a foster who wants to adopt her.
