Kroger is warning customers about an offer that seems too good to be true. That's because it is.
Some customers have shared coupons on social media for 40 percent off their entire purchase, but Kroger says the coupons are counterfeit.
In a Facebook post last week, Kroger explained "this giveaway is not affiliated with or supported by the Kroger Co. in any way. We recommend not engaging with the site(s) that offer links to the coupon, or providing them with any personal information. Our team is actively working with Facebook and domain service providers to address the concern."
Kroger says the coupons will not be accepted at stores.
