L'Anse Cruese High School North was placed on a 'modified lockdown' after reports of a possible weapon on school grounds.
The Macomb County Sheriff's Department was called to the school at 1 p.m. on Monday to investigate.
L'Anse Creuse officials told deputies that two students reported receiving a Snapchat post that stated "I have a gun in my backpack."
A second post was sent to that same group with "lmao jk" which stands for "laughing my ass off just kidding."
No gun was found.
