A high-speed chase ends when the suspect crashes and is then hit by a car.

It began with a bank robbery at Community Financial Credit Union in Livonia at 9 a.m. on Thursday.

A masked gunman entered the bank and demanded money and then fled on foot from the scene, police say. No one was injured at the bank, but the suspect did get away with an undisclosed amount of money.

Shortly after, police spotted a driver that matched the description of the suspect who was in a white sedan.

A more than 20-minute police chased ensued and was captured on dashcam video.

The chase ended when the driver exited M-14 and tried to get onto Ford Road and lost control of his vehicle. The car then rolls over and the suspect then flees the vehicle. He's then hit by an on-coming car on the highway.

Police were able to get to the suspect and place him in custody.

The suspect had two guns on him and the sedan he was driving had been reported stolen out of Ohio.

Police say there were two other people in the vehicle as well, and they were known by the suspect.

“The great news is that all the officers and all the good people are fine. We’ve got no injuries there," said Livonia Police Department Capt. Ron Taig.
