DMK, a local singing group, is making waves in Detroit and nationwide. The members, Damoli, Melanee and Kourtney, have been singing together for 12 years.
"We were forced to sing together and there was just a blend and chemistry that we couldn’t deny," says 21-year-old Kourtney.
Since then, the three young women have been a singing group and best friends.
“We’re literally best friends - like you won’t see one of us without the other two following behind 5 seconds later," says 22-year-old Melanee.
The group has performed all over the nation at different venues. They are also featured in an Empire episode that airs May 11.
