A Parma Heights man arrested in December was indicted Wednesday on child endangerment charges.
According to court records, James Barhams administered corporal punishment to a two-year-old girl.
Barhams allegedly threw the child onto a couch, causing her to hit the furniture and fall on the floor, landing on her face.
The child sustained a bruise to her left cheek, swelling above her left eye and an abrasion to the right side of her neck. She also suffered a bruise on the right side of her forehead.
Records show that Barham has a prior conviction of child endangerment, which was handed to him in 1999.
