Drive down any highway on any given day and you'll find, more often than not - a police officer or Michigan State Police trooper with lights activated and a car pulled over.
What you'll almost always see, too, is drivers not pulling over or slowing down.
What's commonly known as the "Move Over Law" requires drivers to move over for those emergency responders they see on the side of the road.
The message this morning: be aware of them on the road.
Members of the police, fire and ambulance community will be joined by tow truck operators to stress the importance of the law and urge all of us to move over or slow down with caution.
A few years ago, the Michigan office of Highway Safety Planning found nearly 80 percent of drivers knew about the law but only 60 percent knew that the law applies to tow trucks, too.
