If you like finding antiques and unique collectibles, the US 12 Heritage Trail Garage Sale takes place this weekend.

It is a pickers dream and Michigan's longest garage sale. It takes place all weekend at garages or barns all long Route 12 from the western part of Michigan to Detroit.

Bruce Schaible has been participating in the US 12 Heritage Trail Garage Sale for many years. If Bruce isn't out picking, he is selling.

He said, "Usually the weirder the stuff, people love."

Vintage and nostalgic items are popular.

Bruce said, "Stuff they had when they were kids, 'oh my grandma had this.'"

Gordon Michaels collects signs and anything with a vintage touch and says you find unique items in Michigan.

"Michigan a place where a lot of stuff isn't picked over," Gordon explained.  "You go to places like California even places down south, you go over there people have picked it."

And everything is negotiable, since Bruce says he will "wheel and deal."

"Just stuff I pick up, I enjoy. The wife doesn't too much."

But there is one thing that is off limits. Bruce won't sell old milk advertisement.

"That comes out of Driggs dairy in Blissville Michigan, it is still in its shipping crate, I will probably never sell that."
