(WXYZ) — Gear up for possible Northern Lights this week, Michiganders.
According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Space Weather Prediction Center, a G1 (minor) geomagnetic storm watch is in effect for both Wednesday and Thursday due to anticipated Coronal Mass Ejection events.
The NOAA reports that three observed CMEs have taken place since May 10, an the first two are expected to arrive on May 15.
