Facebook is on a mission to get us to download yet another app.
But, if you're a fan of going out on the town, it wouldn't be the worst addition to your home screen.
The social media giant recently announced the Events from Facebook app.
I know what you're thinking: "Don't I already have that tab in my Facebook profile?" Yes, you do, but think of this as a more flushed out version of the feature.
The app is geared toward people who are always on the hunt for something fun to do. You'll see events your friends are attending and events near you. You can search by time, location or category.
Another feature allows you to scour a map for all events in your area. There's also a calendar to help you keep track of your expanded social life.
The "Events" app is free and it's available now for iOS devices. An Android app is in the works, according to Facebook.
