Congresswoman Brenda Lawrence sat down with 7 Action News Editorial Director Chuck Stokes at the 2016 Mackinac Policy Conference and said it is time for Bernie Sanders to leave the presidential race.
Lawrence, a Democrat and former Southfield mayor, represents Michigan's 14th District.
"I'm not mad at Bernie," she said Wednesday morning, "But it has reached the point."
"It's time to start unifying the party so we we can move forward and win this race."
