Making a difference for Breast Cancer Awareness Month with makeover madness

(WXYZ) — We are nearing the end of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, but it’s mission and message never go away, no matter what month it is.

We always honor those who are no longer with us, as well as the survivors and those who are in the middle of a brave battle.

Our Andrea Isom shares a powerful story about remembrance, love, and pure kindness.

Mink Little is a proud Detroiter. She is also the proud owner of Mink Little Salon in Atlanta. But Mink is always back in Detroit to service clients and visit her family.

Sadly in 2018, Mink lost her loving great-grandmother to breast cancer. There isn’t a day that does by that she doesn’t think of her Granny Juanita Craig.

This year in her memory, Mink started a Makeover Madness Social Media Campaign. People are encouraged to nominate a survivor they love to receive hair, make-up, nails, the royal treatment for a day, all of it free of charge!

There are still 11 spots left! Just submit a sort video explaining why the person you are nominating is deserving of this makeover. Send submissions on Instagram @iamminklittle, or Facebook at Mink Little. Or send an email to mslittle04@gmail.com.
