(WXYZ) — A malnourished snowy owl was rescued in Drummond Island.
The Drummond Island Animal Clinic says she was picked up along Channel Road "probably windblown from vehicles."
The clinic says she most likely just "ran out of steam" from being malnourished and dehydrated. The clinic took her in and says she will be released back into the wild as she gains weight.
She was transported to the Grand Rapids Wildlife Rehab Center and is adapting well to her surroundings, feasting on mice, duck and fish.
