MT. CLEMENS, Mich. (WXYZ) — A Mt. Clemens man has been arrested and charged for allegedly attacking another man with a sword after an argument on Tuesday.
According to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to an apartment on N. River Rd. Tuesday evening after a 56-year-old man said he was assaulted with a sword.
Deputies say the victim was in a verbal argument over money with a 35-year-old woman, when 55-year-old Christopher Harrison heard the argument and began attacking the victim with a sword.
The victim, police say, was knocked to the ground and had several cuts to his hands and face. He was able to get the sword away from Harrison.
Neither Harrison nor the woman were injured.
Harrison was charged with one count of assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder and arraigned on the charge. He was given a $7,500 bond.
