CHESTERFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) — The Chesterfield Township Police Department is looking for a man they say opened fire on construction workers Thursday night.

Police say the workers heard a man and a woman arguing from inside a car in a nearby parking lot around 8:15 p.m. near Gratiot Ave. and Carriage Way.

The workers allegedly yelled at the man to leave the woman alone, and that's when the man allegedly walked toward them and opened fire.

No one was hit by gunfire, police say, and the man got back in the car and took off.
