DETROIT (WXYZ) — Detroit police are searching for a man they say set fire to a gas station following a dispute over money with the clerk.

According to police, it happened around 11p.m. Sunday on Morang near Cadiuex on the city's east side.

We're told the suspect and the clerk had an argument over how much money the suspect put into the gas pump. That's when he became upset and left the station.

Police say he returned to the station with a gas can and began pouring gas on the floor of the station, then set it on fire. Two cans of motor oil also caught on fire.

The fire department responded and was able to put out the blaze. The suspect is a black male, 5-feet-8 weighing 150 pounds with medium complexion and dread locks.
