The suspect in the murder of his aunt and uncle last week in Warren is expected to be arraigned on several charges Tuesday.

Joseph Lawrence Borowiak, 37, was arrested shortly after his aunt and uncle, Steven Collins, 67, and Cynthia Collins, 66, were found killed inside their home on Friday. The medical examiner ruled they died from blunt force trauma to the head.

Borowiak is charged with two counts of first degree murder. He was held without bond.

He has been arrested before in 2012 for cocaine possession and resisting arrest.

"We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss and our thoughts and prayers go out to the family. We believe this is not a random act, with the victims being targeted, neighbors can feel secure that this terrible loss is isolated," said Warren Police Commissioner William Dwyer.

Warren mayor Jim Fouts said Borowiak lived with the Collins' for a period of time.

"This is not a random crime and there is no threat to the public safety," he said.
