WYANDOTTE, Mich. (WXYZ) — Wyandotte police said they arrested a man for his third DUI offense after he was seen swerving and falling off his motorcycle.

According to police, 41-year-old John McMurdo of Lincoln Park was charged with operating while intoxicated (3rd offense) and driving while license suspended.

It happened around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3. Police say they were dispatched to the area of Fort St. and Goddard for a possible accident when a caller said a man with a female passenger fell off the bike and tried to get back on.

According to police, officers saw the Harley Davison traveling east on Goddard, and pursued the motorcycle, which then swerved and almost crashed again.

McMurdo was given a breath test and had a BAC of .19, more than double the legal limit.

He was arraigned on the charges and given a $100,000 bond.
