Detroit police say they have arrested a man in connection to the carjacking of a pregnant woman in downtown Detroit on Wednesday night.

It happened on Beaubien, across the street from Niki's Restaurant, around 10:55 p.m.

The armed carjacker approached the woman as she stood near the trunk of her silver Dodge Stratus. He demanded her keys and personal items.

Just moments before the crime, the man can be seen on surveillance video riding a bicycle past the woman. He sets the bike down to carry out the carjacking.

Elizabeth, who is 14 weeks pregnant, was held with the gun just inches away from her face.

The family has created a GoFundMe account to help get her a new car.

Police say they arrested the 24-year-old man on Monday morning around 11:15 in the 11800 block of Greiner. They also recovered the car.
