Police say a 26-year-old woman was jogging alone in the park when the man reportedly popped out of the woods, struck her in the face and knocked her to the ground.

The victim told police he told her he was going to kill her and that's when he attempted to sexually assault her. She says she was able to fight him off and run away to get help. The victim was able to call for help at a nearby home.

Police say the suspected attacker also took her cell phone.

After a short search, police say they located the suspect on a nearby bike trail still carrying the victim's phone.

The suspect is currently being held at the Huron Township Police Department jail awaiting charges.

The victim, we're told, is recovering at a nearby hospital.

Fickling is charged with one count each of: Kidnapping; Robbery Not Armed; Assault with Intent to Commit Criminal Sexual Conduct and Assault with Intent to Commit Great Bodily Harm. He is expected to be arraigned Thursday in Romulus.
