30-year-old Marc Minter of Wayne County was arrested on July 28, and charged with Homicide-Felony Murder, and two counts of First Degree Child Abuse.
On October 19 2016, police responded to a report of a child not breathing at a home in the area of Williams Street and Annapolis Avenue.
The two-year-old boy was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
An autopsy revealed that the cause of death was from blunt force to the back, and that the child was the victim of a homicide.
Further investigation found that the boy's 7-month-old sister had multiple fractures to her legs.
Minter's next court date will be August 8.
