Man charged with shooting at police who removed tether now in custody

A suspect who was out on bond and removed his tether has been taken into custody by Clinton Township Police.

He was taken into custody on Stair Street in Clinton Township.

Ivory Traylor III, who was arrested for allegedly shooting at police in May 2017, was out on a $1,000 cash surety bond, which was posted, and he was placed on a tether.

On Friday, police say he removed his tether around 9:30 a.m. while in the area of northbound Lodge Freeway at the Wyoming exit ramp.

He was believed to be armed and dangerous.

Traylor was charged with Assault with Intent to Commit Murder, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession, Resisting and Obstructing, and Felony Firearm in the May 17, 2017 incident.
