FRENCH TWP., Mich. (WXYZ) — A 29-year-old man is in stable condition at a hospital after the vehicle he was driving became airborne and he was ejected while traveling in Monroe County.

Sheriff's deputies are investigating after a man, who appeared to be speeding and under the influence of alcohol, was involved in a single-vehicle crash Sunday morning.

The crash happened just after 1:30 a.m.

Deputies say the 29-year-old Carleton resident was driving a silver 2009 Dodge Caravan traveling westbound on Bluebush Road when the caravan suddenly traveled off the roadway. The vehicle then entered a ditch before impacting a driveway culvert and becoming airborne.

The driver, who deputies say was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the vehicle. The driver was taken to Beaumont Trenton Hospital and listed in stable condition.

The crash is still under investigation. The sheriff's department is asking if you have information on this crash to contact them at 734-240-7542.
