A 51-year-old man's body was found in the area of Plymouth Road and Rutherford overnight Thursday in Detroit.
Police were initially called to the scene at 3:24 a.m. on a report of a body lying in the street.
Officers said it initially looks like a hit-and-run incident due to the fact that there is trauma to the body, but they are not ruling out an assault or the body being thrown from a car.
The incident is listed as a fatal hit-and-run until proven otherwise, police say.
