A woman is in temporary serious condition after an attempted carjacking in Detroit.

It happened around 11 a.m. this morning on Stout near Grand River.

Investigators say the woman was about to get in her car when a man with a gun grabbed her keys. She grabbed them back.

The suspect shot at her as she tried to run to a house. The bullet grazed her abdomen.

The thief didn’t get her car, but took off in a white 4-door sedan, followed by a black Chrysler 300.

The woman told police that it looked like multiple people were working together to commit the crime.
