WARREN, Mich. (WXYZ) — Warren police are searching for a suspect in a deadly shooting of a 32-year-old man on Tuesday night.
According to police, the man returned to his home on LaSalle St. after picking his son up from football practice.
A short time later, police say someone knocked on the door and the son answered. Police say a man told the son to tell his dad there was someone in the backyard.
The victim then went into the backyard, and the suspect, an unknown individual, fired five shots, two of which hit the victim.
Police say the man was taken to the hospital but died from his injuries.
Police searched the area but couldn't find the suspect. They are expected to release more information later today.
