Police are searching for two men after a shooting and carjacking on Detroit's west side this morning.

The incident happened in the 12000 block of Bryden around 3 a.m.

Detroit police say a 40-year-old man was approached by the two suspects who demanded his 2005 Chevy Tahoe. The suspects shot the victim in the leg before stealing the vehicle, police say.

The victim was rushed to the hospital where he is reportedly in surgery.

Officers are now looking for that Tahoe, which is lime green in color, and the two suspects.
