Dad stabbed to death defending son at metro Detroit mobile home park

Police have identified the 49-year-old father who was stabbed to death inside a Huron Township mobile home park Sunday night as Robert Briscoe.

According to police, Briscoe was defending his teenage son from an attack when he was stabbed to death.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. at the Huron Estates on Inkster Rd. between King and West roads.

We're told police were called to the scene when a group of teenagers were fighting in the street of the mobile home park.

The teens allegedly came to fight the victim's son who was at the home.

An 18-year-old is in custody for the stabbing.

Huron Township police continue to investigate after a man was found stabbed to death inside a mobile home park on Sunday night.

According to police, it happened around 10:30 p.m. at the Huron Estates on Inkster Rd. between King and West roads.

We're told police were called to the scene when a group of teenagers were fighting in the street of the mobile home park.

The teens allegedly came to fight the victim's son who was at the home. The dad, a 49-year-old man, tried to intervene and was stabbed.

An 18-year-old is in custody for the stabbing. 

4:30 a.m.

A man was stabbed to death at a mobile home park in Huron Township late last night. 

It happened around 10:30 p.m. at Huron Estates at 22000 Inkster Road between King and West roads.

Police tell us the victim was in his 40's and that he lived at the park. Huron Township Police and Michigan State Police are on scene investigating.
