INKSTER, Mich. (WXYZ) — A man has been arrested after barricading himself in his home with a pellet gun and crossbow Thursday night.

On Aug. 27 around 8:20 p.m., Inkster police responded to a barricaded suspect on Colgate and Beech Daly, resulting from a domestic situation.

According to police, the male suspect allegedly fired a pellet gun at his girlfriend and then barricaded himself in the house with a crossbow.

The Inkster Police Department Special Response Team arrived and were able to breach the door and take the suspect into custody without incident, MSP says.

Troopers from Metro South Post Secure City Partnership also arrived and assisted with the situation.

The Inkster Police Department will continue to handle the investigation.
