A man who pleaded guilty to hitting and killing a pedestrian on Detroit's west side is set to be sentenced Friday.
Police say Adonis Jackson hit a man back in July at Seven Mile and Appleton and then drove away. The 20-year-old man was crossing 7 Mile Road when Jackson fatally hit him. He was traveling eastbound and failed to stop.
At the time, police say Jackson was out of jail on bond for another crime and had a no-driving restriction in place.
Watch the sentencing here at 9 a.m.
