WOODHAVEN, Mich. (WXYZ) — After initially eluding police, a man has been arrested for allegedly taking photos and video of men urinating in the restroom at Woodhaven Lanes Bowling Alley.
The alleged incidents happened in December 2018.
Police say Ryan Dustin Gaynier, 36, was reported for a disturbance at the bowling alley. An alleged victim told police that Gaynier was taking pictures and video of him while urinating in the men's restroom.
Officers then located Gaynier and seized his cell phone as evidence.
According to a release, after a forensic exam of the phone, investigators found 150 video clips stored on the phone. The clips contained images of the reporting victim and other unknown male victims while they were urinating. The video and photos appeared to be taken from an adjacent restroom stall.
Following the forensic exam, investigators attempted to contact Gaynier several times, according to a release, but the suspect did not make himself available for an interview prior to charges being authorized.
Due to Gaynier not making himself available to police, on June 14 investigators signed a 50-count felony warrant for Gaynier. He was arrested Wednesday, June 26 with assistance from the Fugitive Task Force.
Gaynier will be in court for a probable cause hearing on July 9. He is charged with 1 to 25 counts of capturing/distributing images of unclothes persons and 26 to 50 counts of using a computer to commit a crime.
