A father was killed in front of hundreds of people at a Detroit park over the weekend – and police say the person who did it, is still on the streets.

The suspect is now one of Detroit’s Most Wanted.

Police say the father was at a soccer game at Patton Park, when shots were fired at him.
It happened in front of hundreds who turned out, including children. Now, they need your help finding the trigger-man.

Police are looking or an El Salvador national named Oscar. Authorities say he was known to the victim.

Twenty-four year-old Denis Asebdo Rubio, a father of three and refugee from Honduras, was the target.

Rubio’s family in Honduras would like his remains brought back to his native country, but they don’t know how to go about it, and do not have the funds to get it done.

If you recognize the suspect, you’re urged to call Detroit Police’s Homicide Tip line at 313-596-2260 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.

In the meantime, if you’d like to help Denis’s family get him back home to Honduras to be buried you can email reporter Jennifer Bisram at Jennifer.Bisram@wxyz.com
