Deputies are searching for a suspect who escaped an interview room inside the Oakland County Jail Saturday night, and remains on the loose.

Larry Lanelle Emery, 38, is accused of escaping the jail after concluding an interview with Oakland County Sheriff investigators.

Emery was taken into custody Saturday in connection with an overnight shooting at Duckett's Sports Bar and Grill in Pontiac. Two people were shot in the leg at that location, police said.

According to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office, detectives heard a noise coming from an area near the interview room and went to investigate.

When detectives returned, they found the suspect missing and began searching for him. A K-9 unit was unable to locate the suspect, police said.

An internal investigation is underway to determine how the suspect was able to escape the interview room, police added.

Emery was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a white t-shirt and no shoes.

Anyone with information on Emery's location is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP. There is a reward of up to $2,500 for information leading to his arrest.
