Marijuana will soon be legal under state law, still banned from universities in Michigan

We’re finding out more universities in Michigan are not changing their policies that ban Marijuana even though voters approved recreational use on election day.

That’s because Marijuana is still illegal under federal law, even though the feds don’t enforce it in other states where it has become legal.

Wayne State University, Michigan State, University of Michigan and Oakland University are among those who have policies that prohibit Marijuana including unlawful use, distribution sales, and manufacturing on site.

Some schools extend that policy to businesses off-site.

The policies say disciplinary action could be taken against students in violation.
