An active pattern is getting set up tonight with a chance for strong storms overnight. Unfortunately, this will be round one since another round of severe weather is possible for Saturday afternoon and evening.

Tonight's Risk will be during the hours of 12 am - 4 am. A warm front will be lifting through the area, producing some instability in the atmosphere and also increasing our moisture content. This means the "Muggy Meter" will climb overnight with dew points in the 60s. This is the ideal scenario to produce heavy rainfall leading to some localized flooding from the strongest storms.

Saturday's Risk

Saturday will have another chance of severe weather - but this time it will be due to a cold front. The timing of the storms will be from 2 pm to 8 pm. The greatest threat within the strongest storms will be the risk of damaging winds and large hail. Tornadoes are not the greatest concern for Saturday but they are also possible.

This busy pattern will continue in the coming days but at least we'll have some dry time over the Memorial Day Weekend. Be sure to download the 7 App and Storm Shield to stay up to date on the latest and track the storms in real time.
