A Sterling Heights police officer made a large bust during his first solo shift where he found a stolen vehicle filled with stolen property inside.
According to police, Officer Coates was in the first hour of his solo shift when he saw a vehicle parked near a closed business and after investigating, determined the vehicle might be stolen. Backup arrived and the person inside the vehicle, Raheem Bender, was arrested.
After the arrest, Coates continued to investigate and found stolen property inside the vehicle.
"Due to Officer Coates' proactive police work, none of our Sterling Heights residents fell victim to these thefts," police wrote on Facebook.
