Metro Detroit men come up with kit to use in active shooter event

Posted

A group of men from metro Detroit say they have come up with the perfect kit to use in an active shooter event.

The three friends from Brighton clocked out of their day jobs, permanently, and poured every dime into their new passion of protecting people.

They call it the Templar Life Safety System and it includes a weapon, trauma kit, radio, and in development, live streaming to a 911 call center.

The group says the most important part is the training, and says emergency crews and other people would need to be trained on the system.

They even model the training after the federal flight deck officer program.
