A soccer coach is being investigated after police say he was “sexting” students.

According to police, the staff member may have been involved with multiple students in the Roseville school district.

Chris Mahla says he’s been a soccer coach for six years and made a mistake.

In a statement he wrote, “I’m not going to lie, I messed up and would like to send out apologies to those that were affected by this, including the school administration. I have dishonored my family, including hurting my fiancé and child in the process. I was blindsided by everything and didn’t see what I had right in front of me. I’ve been told and have read articles on this all stating that I’ve asked for pictures when that wasn’t the case. I never once asked of anything."

"While this was an isolated incident, I’ve made a simple mistake that will now have my life messed up for a long time and will be haunted by it forever. Again, I didn’t intend to hurt anyone and my deepest apologies to everyone,” Mahla said.

Mahla said he was released from the school district.

We reached out to the district, they have not responded.
