Metro Detroit woman accused of spending stolen money on Air Jordan shoes, crab legs

Posted

An accused bank robber in metro Detroit reportedly spent her stolen cash on Air Jordan shoes, crab legs and a weekend barbecue.

Livonia police say Chloe Adams, 25, robbed the Citizens Bank on 5 Mile last month. According to police, she handed over a note to the teller demanding money, threatening that "things would get bloody" if they didn't comply.

Police say she made off with about $5,000. Officers managed to track her down at her home earlier this week. That's when she reportedly told police how she spent the money. In addition to the shoes, crab legs and barbecue, Adams told officers she also used the money to pay a delinquent car loan and take a trip to Chicago, according to police.

Adams was arraigned on bank robbery charges and she's due back in court on June 8.
