(WXYZ) — "Music is all around us, all you have to do is listen."

The state of Michigan is set to drop its debut album featuring ambient sounds from its 10 state parks in May. The album called "Pure Sounds of Michigan," includes everything from "gentle streams to rolling waves and indigenous birds to a variety of Michigan’s natural elements."

Pure Sounds of Michigan is a soothing compilation album that invites listeners to take a virtual, sunrise-to-sunset tour of the state from coast to coast as interpreted by some of Michigan’s most talented musicians.

Pure Michigan collaborated with the Michigan DNR and Detroit's Assemble Sound to produce the first single "Childhood Memories," which is now streaming on all major platforms, according to the site.
