Michigan Humane removes dogs, dog fighting paraphernalia from home on Detroit's east side

DETROIT (WXYZ) — The Michigan Humane Field Services team removed nine dogs from a property on Detroit's east side.

The team executed a search warrant in the 3000 block of Seyburn and discovered the dogs along with paraphernalia consistent with dog fighting.

Michigan Humane says the dogs are currently receiving medical and supportive care at a facility.

Investigators were made aware of the situation through a tip from a Michigan Humane board member.
