A Michigan man has been arrested and charged for allegedly threatening and stalking a Wisconsin resident.
The Kewaskum Police Department, about 44 miles northwest of Milwaukee, said the 28-year-old man was taken into custody in the Village of Kewaskum on Thursday evening.
The investigation started with the victim contacted police, saying she has received repeated messages from a man she did not know through multiple social media platforms.
According to police, the victim said the messages became increasingly threatening, and the suspect also got the victim's number and home address.
Later that day, on Aug. 20, the victim contacted police sand said that the suspect appeared to be traveling to Kewaskum.
Police were able to identify the suspect and his vehicle information, and using license plate reading cameras, identify his vehicle was traveling toward the village.
Around 5:12 p.m., officers located the suspect on Highway 28, and he continued into the village, where officers took him into custody without incident.
The suspect has not been identified, other than his age and that he's from Michigan. He was charged with one count of stalking and one count of disorderly conduct.
