(WXYZ) — A west Michigan man who was a wanted fugitive was arrested in Mexico after being featured on an Investigation Discovery show.
According to Michigan State Police, William Troy Stanson has been on the run since 2015 after being charged with first degree sexual assault of a minor and accosting a minor.
On Feb. 4, 2020, he was taken into custody by Mexican authorities.
Stanson was featured on the show "In Pursuit with John Walsh" on Investigation Discovery, and tips came in hours after the show aired that directly led to the location and arrest of Stanson.
He was extradited to the United States and will be transported to Berrien County to face more charges.
