7:20 a.m.
I-96 east bound at Fullerton, right after the Davison is down to one-lane after a possible drunk driver hits an MSP cruiser.
Lt. Mike Shaw tells Seven Action News the cruiser was parked and the trooper was standing outside the car responding to another multi-vehicle crash on 96, when a driver hit the police unit.
The impact of the crash caused the MSP cruiser to catch fire. The fire department responded, extinguishing the car fire.
We're told the trooper and the driver are okay. They are investigating to determine if the driver was intoxicated.
Several tow trucks on are scene to remove the 4-5 vehicles involved in the first crash. Lt. Shaw says no one was injured in that crash either.

A Michigan State Police cruiser was struck on I-96 near Fullerton, sources confirm.
We've learned a vehicle at the scene has caught fire.
No word yet on any injuries.
