A Highland Park man was arrested Friday after allegedly pointing a laser at an aircraft flying over metro Detroit.
In separate incidents, three airliners in Metro Airport airspace were hit by lasers. The airlines they belong to were not disclosed.
In another incident, the MSP's own helicopter, Trooper 2, was also hit by a laser. Trooper 2 flies out of City Airport. A Highland Park resident has been taken into custody in this incident.
He has been turned over to Detroit police.
The incidents were disclosed on the Michigan State Police twitter account.
