WASHTENAW COUNTY, Mich. (WXYZ) — Michigan State Police are investigating a two-car crash that happened in Washtenaw County Saturday.
Troopers from the Brighton Post investigated a two-car traffic crash on Dec. 5 around 5:37 p.m. The at-fault driver, a 32-year-old woman from Fowlerville was traveling southbound on US-23 when she crossed the median and struck a vehicle traveling northbound on US-23 near Plymouth Road. The vehicle that was struck was driven by a 46-year-old woman from Inkster.
Both were taken to the hospital for serious non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol is suspected, according to police.
US-23 was closed for about 2.5 hours.
The investigation continues.
